    About the Order

The Order of St. Lazarus is one of the oldest chivalric orders in the world, combining centuries-old Christian values with modern charitable action. In South Africa, our work reflects this legacy through community-based healthcare, spiritual service, and relief work.

    What We Do

    Support vulnerable girls and women

We support an orphanage for teenage girls and a safe house for women escaping gender based violence.

    Community Outreach

We partner with our parish St Michaels and all Angels to provide food and non-perishable support to the needy in the community.

    Child Welfare

We support an orphanage for the very young from birth to 6 years.

    Elder Welfare

We support an old age home in Khayelitsha and we offer mental stimulation to the elderly women through our knitting projects.
